bio

Vinny has been writing songs and instrumentals for 10 years or so and has been the main writer in various bands.

With his first solo album “Beg me to forgive” (2010) being well received and building a little following at gigs and online, Vinny felt encouraged to stop playing in other bands and pursue his solo career instead.

2013 and his second album: “It only takes a whisper” –  recorded in London through 2012 and early 2013, mixed in early January by Sean Douglas (Wire, Adam Ant) and mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Beck, Dr John) –  is finally ready and his most ambitious album to date.

Vinny strongly believes in the “old fashion” album format, where every track matters and strictly no “fillers”. This stellar collection of new original songs mixes Blues Rock and Alternative styles in an existing album from start to end.

The radio single “The Road” sets the tone. Super cool guitar riff, short, to the point and memorable sing-along hooks make for an exciting first single.

Vinny’s credits include licensing agreements with BBC, C4, ITV, MTV and for independent movies.

His songs have previously attracted the attention of various DJs and producers, such as Chris McCormack (Ministry of Sound, Gary Newman, samples on Fatboy Slim’s million selling Halfway between the Gutter and the Stars album) Mark Berry (Bowie, Talk Talk and many more).

Live performances include supports for Wendy James, Hard Fi, Spiritualized, The Soho Dolls, Client, The Rakes and many more.

Press & media includes Time out London “recommended gig” and single review “A real Gem of A track”, XFM “dirty, sexy little number”, Alternative London: “fresh and exciting…dark at times and unashamedly pop at others”, Gaydarnation “An original body of work, great songs” and more.

Vinny’s main focus is now on promoting and touring his new album “It only takes a whisper”.
